Thanks to the work done by the ESA’s Gaia mission, we have a map of two million stars and enough history data that we can run the map forward, and watch the stars as they move around the sky over the next five million years. Woah.

Alan Sonfist works with nature to make art, and in his “Time Landscape” the art requires no work after planting, it is an intervention against the city on behalf of the forest that once grew where the buildings and streets now stand. But Tim Landscape exists, like a capsule, a throwback to a world long gone.
